ENGR 100 Section 430 – Music Signal Processing
The goals of this course are: (1) to analyze music the way an engineer would analyze an unfamiliar phenomenon; (2) to learn the basics of Fourier signal analysis and synthesis, motivated by observing musical signals; (3) to apply these tools in design projects; (4) to introduce students to oral and written technical communication, working in teams, and problem solving. No previous knowledge of music is necessary. No calculus or complex numbers is required in the course. Some prior coding experience (E101) is desirable.
- Learn the secrets of electronic music synthesizers
- Learn how to process music digitally using pattern recognition methods
- Especially relevant for students interested in EE, CE, CS, and BME, or music lovers
Engineering 100 is the start of a University of Michigan engineer's journey. Students take part in a real-world project that utilizes the fundamentals of their section's topic. From microprocessors to rockets to food, there are several mediums for students to pick from; all cover the same fundamentals (employ the engineer design process, communicate effectively as an engineer, collaborate in diverse teams, understand and practice professional engineering values).

    one thing if your have cancer is to not wear lipstick or makeup as these are contaminants that get into your blood stream and weaken your immune system, same goes for shampoos that get into your scalp and soap as well as any kind of perfume or detergents on your skin, and if anyone ever gets skin cancer I cure a melanoma with a small mixture of epson salt and water that I brought to a boil then applied to the skin twice a day and covered it with a band-aid for 10 weeks and saw it shrink and dry out to a point where it gradually just fell off with when I pulled on it, I just kept on replying it until it totally disappeared. I also had a lump underneath, it measured about half a dime and it was up behind my ear so I could not see it but it was black and shiny and pretty ugly looking. There is nothing there now, that was two years ago. I also switched my diet to vegetarian salads, breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout that time. with fresh orange juice in the morning and drank 2 litres of water every day (it is after all called the water of life and since your body is mostly water, think of it as adding clean fuel every day which washes out the crap inside of it, lettuce also cleans the blood as well. I would also invest in a blender. I also switched to eating hummus in the morning with olives and chilis which was very good on barley bread if you can. I quit eating meats for 10 weeks, only fish after that for a long time.. Also read the book of John, Matthew, Luke and Marc to reconnect with yourself and let God and Jesus help you through this! All the best!

    Hope the new turbo cancer can be treated without the sideeffects of cancer treatment. Even if a patient feel good right after treatment life treathening sideeffects often comes within hours or even a day or two. So I really hope humane cancer treatment soon is available as cancer has become more dangerous than seen before treatment was available at all.

    Thank you of this meaningful lecture. I am Tapio Pohjalainen graduated 1986 from Aalto University in Espoo, Finland as an aeronautical engineer. Currently I am starting my PhD studies and one of my interests is aerodynamics. The most interesting question is why we have so wrong view of e.g. lift theory. So far all approaches start with the assumption that air is flowing and presented as airflow, the wing is assumed as a fixed body. This is true in wind tunnel but not in real life. Airflow is wrong setup causing false conceptions and theories. It is the wing that is moving in still air. We have a different conception when we think of a bullet. That is facing the "still air" though it is at supersonic speed which has different flow dynamics as a wing in an incompressible air at subsonic speed. Actually we are accelerating an infinite mass of air in a volume of boundary layer which is the drag. The lift is because in the flow in close vincinity of wing is accelerated downwards, Newtonian laws implies. Do we have a real no slip condition which would mean a very hard acceleration of an air particle from zero to the speed of wing. The air drag is simply the energy required to accelerate this infinite air mass. This moving wing approach may be my main focus of my near future studies.

    • @davetime5234
      @davetime5234 7 днів тому

      Whether our observation frame of reference sees the wing as stationary vs the wind as stationary makes no difference. All motion is relative, and the classical laws of physics work symmetrically, that is, the laws of physics work the same irrespective of reference frame.

    If it’s supposedly been released, why hasn’t anybody heard about it? This was eight months ago and nothing like this is ever got mentioned because they don’t make money off careers they make money off letting people die. Sorry if you ain’t got insurance, we can’t waste our money and equipment on you, why do you think there’s so many deaths in hospitals you don’t live in the real world you don’t see what actually happens. You don’t even work in a hospital so you don’t understand how things actually work so depressing in the hospital my wife worked in one for a long time, since so many deaths for people that didn’t have insurance couldn’t afford surgeries and everything else grow the fuck up and live in the real world. This will never be mainstream.
